Synopsis
Our world of art and its surroundings remains intricately connected through the bond of mutual relationships. The thread of this bond is never excessively heartfelt, conditional, or self-centered, nor is it entirely burdened with responsibilities. Nevertheless, it continues to thrive in the fabric of everyday life. Occasionally, some connections in the complexity of life are permanently destroyed, while others persist year after year. The tension of mutual relationships keeps our intentions stimulated. Even if we desire to overlook it, we can never truly reject it in any way. All the misunderstandings, pride, conflicts, and debates in life revolve around relationships.
The backdrop of this drama is the small town of Raghavpur, located far away from the bustling city of Kolkata. During the British era, this region had a prosperous population. The remnants of that era are still evident in the grand mansion known as Raybadi. Currently residing in this house are the renowned painter Deenath Roy and his sister-in-law, Tista. Since Tista’s birth, her father, Ray, has never visited the house on the opposite side of the Raybadi, where Indranath Roy resides. Deenath Roy has no connection with his brother, Indranath Roy, and has never even laid eyes on Tista in person.
In the small town of Raghavpur, unexpected events that create a sudden uproar rarely occur. However, this time, it happened. Indranath Roy suddenly returned to his own house, resembling the prodigal son in the New Testament of the Bible. The focus of Ray’s attention immediately shifted to this unexpected return, and as a result, some hidden secrets of a few other people in Raghavpur were also illuminated.
