Seminar on

Lanka Dahon Pala

Speaker Koushik Majumder (Scientist and Eminent Author)

On November 31, 2020, an enlightening seminar took place within the cozy confines of our rehearsal room, orchestrated by the accomplished Koushik Majumder. Thirty eager young minds gathered to partake in this intellectual feast. The focal point of the seminar was the compelling narrative of ‘Lanka Dahon Pala,’ a theatrical rendition derived from ‘The Ramayana,’ penned by the venerable Lila Majumder. This story revolves around the adventures of Hanuman, his clandestine rendezvous with Sita, and his fiery escape from Lanka. During the four-hour seminar, the entire plot was meticulously unveiled before our enthusiastic young audience.

Lila Majumder’s motivation for crafting this play was rooted in her profound admiration for the captivating tales embedded in our epics. She ardently believed that these narratives should be an integral part of every child’s life. Furthermore, she aimed to unearth the inherent humor and human elements within the story, adding depth and relatability to the characters.

In essence, this educational seminar served as a gateway for these young minds to connect with their cultural heritage and appreciate the timeless wisdom encapsulated in our epics.
